“Dangeruss,” the Quintessential Dual Threat Quarterback

Destined for the Hall Of Fame!

Russell Wilson’s career is a monument to positive thinking and iron-willed determination.  When he was drafted in the THIRD ROUND by the Seattle Seahawks – despite having won the Big Ten Championship, almost won the Rose Bowl, and held the all time record for passing efficiency in college football – the choice was roundly denounced by football wise guys, and he was given NO CHANCE at success in the NFL because he was “TOO SHORT!”

Well, “Dangeruss” won the starting job in practice; despite the fact that the Seahawks had just signed quarterback Mike Flynn to a 20 million dollar contract!  He now is beginning his 9th season as a starting quarterback in the NFL and he has never missed a game nor had a losing season in eight years…the only quarterback in NFL history to achieve this sterling record.

And it is beginning to look like this could  be his best season yet.  In two games he passed for 9 touchdowns, with only ELEVEN missed passes and one interception, which came when a perfectly thrown pass went through the hands of tight end Greg Olsen.  I am including the video clip for the doubters! Of course Russ won both games, throwing 4 touchdowns in the first game and 5 in the second.

I wouldn’t be surprised if he ended up in the Super Bowl again this year for a third time.  Yet,  if he never played another game, he is bound for the Hall of Fame!  It is written in the stars, authored by the football gods.  Despite dastardly conjurations of the Devil and his agents that conspired to keep the MVP award from him, If I were starting a football franchise, and had first pick of all the players, I would choose Dangeruss!!!  Jes sayin.
